I’m Number 32!

Okay, it’s not exactly number 1, but it is the highest sales rank I’ve seen for Arcana so far, on the Tower Books bestselling horror list for February 2010.

I suppose number 32 isn’t necessarily that impressive, but take a look at some of the folks who are below me.

Eat it, Nathanial Hawthorne! I’ve always hated your intrusive narration!

Facebook Fan Page Is Now Up

In response to the previous entry it appears that I now have groupies, or at least a couple of volunteers. Who knew? Naturally, that means I need to have a fan page on Facebook to stay in touch with them. So here it is.

I’m still pretty new to the whole book promotion thing, so if anyone would like share suggestions on how to promote the page or make it better feel free to do so. So far I’m the only fan of myself – but isn’t that always the way? I’ll be suggesting it to my friends shortly, so hopefully that will change soon.

Enjoy!

Amazon Author Profile Is Now Up

My Amazon author profile is now available. Most of the information is the same as what’s on this site – the biography is almost identical and the “Arcana Trivia” post that I put up for discussion includes the material from the “My Books” page formatted slightly differently because Amazon doesn’t allow HTML in discusion posts. Still, I know from experience that the more places your information is posted, the more people see it.

I’ve been taking a look at Barnes and Noble and some of the other booksellers, but they don’t have anything comparable that I’ve come across so far. If you know of anyplace else I can put up a profile and generate more interest in Arcana feel free to pass it along in the comments.

Arcana Featured By Magus Books

For those of you who do not live in the Twin Cities you are missing out on one of the best occult and metaphysical stores anywhere, Magus Books in Dinkytown near the University of Minnesota.

Arcana has been featured in the latest Magus newsletter, and the Magus catalog listing for the book can be found here.

I’m planning on setting up some sort of promotional event with Magus as well, so watch for that announcement.

Welcome To My New Site

What? New site? Does this mean that Augoeides is no more?

Of course not.

I am putting together this new WordPress site to promote my published works, now that I have some outside of the blogosphere. I decided to go with WordPress rather than Blogger because I think that the built-in themes look a little more professional and the way that the system supports both Pages and Posts serves my purposes better.

This is less of a discussion blog and more of a site for posting press releases and announcing upcoming events, but there will still be room for some discussion of my books and writing projects.

Meanwhile, the discussion of magick and other spiritual technologies will continue as usual over at Augoeides.

Feel free to comment or submit questions below.
