The Universe card is titled The World in a standard Tarot deck and is the final trump to be renamed by Aleister Crowley. The name change represents the increase of scientific knowledge since the Renaissance, in which the world of matter is now known to encompass an entire universe of galaxies, stars, and planets rather than simply the planet on which we live.
This chapter takes place at Jonas’ house and adds no new locations. It deals with the fallout of Balzador’s defeat for both the Guild and the magick office. Balzador is safely contained, the magick office is shaken but intact, and Michael is offered a seat on the new Guild Supreme Council in light of the death of the majority of its members at the hands of the Demon.
