Do Charlaine Harris Fans Like Arcana?

This is probably just a statistical fluke but I found it interesting nonetheless. I was looking at the Barnes and Noble listing for Arcana and noticed that three out of the five books shown on the “Customers who bought this also bought” list were from Charlaine Harris’ Southern Vampire Mysteries series:

  • Dead Until Dark
  • From Dead to Worse
  • Dead and Gone

I’ve never read Harris’ books but I have enjoyed HBO’s True Blood television series that is based on them, even though I’m forced to admit that the cheese factor on the show is rather high.

Given Arcana’s sales rank the sample size of customers is almost certainly too small to draw any reliable conclusions from, but Charlaine Harris sells a lot of books and if her fans turn out to like my work as well that would be pretty darn cool.

Arcana Featured By Magus Books

For those of you who do not live in the Twin Cities you are missing out on one of the best occult and metaphysical stores anywhere, Magus Books in Dinkytown near the University of Minnesota.

Arcana has been featured in the latest Magus newsletter, and the Magus catalog listing for the book can be found here.

I’m planning on setting up some sort of promotional event with Magus as well, so watch for that announcement.

Welcome To My New Site

What? New site? Does this mean that Augoeides is no more?

Of course not.

I am putting together this new WordPress site to promote my published works, now that I have some outside of the blogosphere. I decided to go with WordPress rather than Blogger because I think that the built-in themes look a little more professional and the way that the system supports both Pages and Posts serves my purposes better.

This is less of a discussion blog and more of a site for posting press releases and announcing upcoming events, but there will still be room for some discussion of my books and writing projects.

Meanwhile, the discussion of magick and other spiritual technologies will continue as usual over at Augoeides.
